A lovely welcome, room and comfort. For us well worth the money for some comfort. Room spacious, had everything it needed and a very short walk to local pubs and eateries. Would recommend for a short stay, business or travelling alike. 3 star hotel for a reason but no complaints from us.
We had the 3 course Malaysian dinner and it was lovely. Very welcoming atmosphere and the server was kind. We will be back again!
Very good service. Excellent food reasonably priced with a variety of cuisines and very peaceful. Wide selection of drinks but could do with beers on tap. Very clean rooms and decor is beautiful, I would definitely recommend staying here for a duration of time. The staff are all very smiley and polite and will help where ever they can with 24 hour service.

Really enjoyed our stay here. My team were looked after by the charming owner, who is a very helpful guy. The bed was so comfortable, I wanted to take it home with me. Sheets and towels changed daily + room cleaning. They have added extra heaters in every room, so you can have the room toasty. The Indian food in the restaurant is completely authentic, and yes I have travelled India extensively. Ok, it's not a brand new building, but it's charming and right in the middle of town, walk anywhere. I was at a show at Stoneleigh & our team really enjoyed The Peacock Hotel & had a fantastic experience all dining together at breakfast and dinner with very attentive and polite restaurant staff. Thoroughly recommend. Not expensive, they don't hike their prices during the dates of the shows, like many other local hotels. Thank you, see you again soon.
The hotel is well located, and walking distance to a few restaurants should you choose not to eat in the hotel which has two restaurants with great choice and good quality food and service. Bedroom I had on the second floor was small but clean and comfortable but not for a tall person in the bathroom/ shower. Stuff were helpful and friendly, so apart from the room being tiny, a great little place to stop in when in this area
For the price you pay this place is top notch. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the room was very nice and clean. I will say the ceilings and walls were a little thin so if you’re a light sleeper I’d recommend bringing ear plugs. However this didn’t affect our stay nearly enough for me to not want to come again. If you’re planning on eating at the Malaysian restaurant here as well, the food is very very yummy
This hotel is scrupulously clean. It's an old quirky building. The rooms are small and bathroom tiny but adequate and comfortable. This is not a place for anyone with mobility issues. No lifts and steepish stairs plus stairs up and down between sections. Lots of cupboard and drawer space, good shower but difficult to get in and out of tub which is high and has an unmovable shower screen. Bit concerned that the smoke detector had a plastic bag taped around it. Good TV and WiFi. Restaurant is Malaysian fusion and looked good. Good parking and right on the high street with access to shops, restaurants,and pubs. The most comfortable bed I've slept in for a long time.
